Replication data for: "Vocabulary knowledge and vocabulary use in writing: A cross-sectional comparison of L2 English and L2 French"

Dataset for the statistical analyses in the paper: "Vocabulary knowledge and vocabulary use in writing: A cross-sectional comparison of L2 English and L2 French". Data were collected from second language learners of English and French in secondary school (grade 10 and grade 12), who each completed a vocabulary test and writing tasks in both languages. The dataset contains participants' scores on the vocabulary tests (2K frequency level score, 3K score, and total) and the values computed for several indices of vocabulary use in writing (lexical diversity and lexical sophistication). In addition, we collected data from L1 writers as a benchmark, whose data are included in the second worksheet.
