This dataset contains vector data of lakes with an area greater than 1 km² on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in the 1970s, 1990, 2000 and 2010. The boundaries of lake water bodies were derived through visual interpretation of Landsat MSS, TM, ETM+ and other remote sensing images. The data type is vector data, and its attribute fields include Area (km²). The projected coordinate system is Albers Conical Equal Area. It is primarily utilized for studies on lake, hydrological and meteorological changes over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.
