This dataset is compiled through investigation and collection of official bulletins, literature and other relevant materials, and summarizes harmful algal bloom (HAB) outbreaks that occurred in the Bohai Sea from 1952 to 2017. The dataset includes information such as the outbreak time, location of the affected sea area, scale of the HAB events, and the economic losses caused by the outbreaks.
