VPRS 19337 Central Council of Auxiliaries Minutes

This series consists of the meeting minutes of the Central Council of Auxiliaries of Prince Henry's Hospital. Auxiliaries were formed to assist the hospital in various ways, particularly with fundraising for the hospital. Much equipment throughout the hospital was purchased from auxiliary funds. The Central Council of Auxiliaries was formed in 1929. These reports date from that year, when the hospital was still the Melbourne Homoeopathic Hospital. The purpose of the minutes was to record the proceedings of meetings of the Central Council of Auxiliaries. The Central Council of Auxiliaries met every month. It continued to meet for several months after Prince Henry's Hospital had been amalgamated into the Monash Medical Centre (VA 2823).
