Chinese and Japanese Discourse on Fukushima's Nuclear-Contaminated Water Discharge (2021–2024)

This dataset compiles Chinese and Japanese textual materials (2021–2024) related to the Fukushima nuclear-contaminated water discharge. Sources include government statements, official media (People’s Daily, Asahi Shimbun, Kyodo News), and social media platforms (Weibo, 5ch). The corpus was preprocessed with jieba (Chinese) and MeCab (Japanese), followed by LDA topic modeling and clustering to identify framing patterns. Outputs include top keywords, topic clusters, LDA results, and frame frequency statistics. The dataset enables comparative research on framing competition, risk communication, and environmental governance, offering empirical evidence for the study of international legitimacy and discourse power in global risk governance.
