Observations were carried out at elevations ranging from 5100 m to 5300 m above sea level, with three mass balance stakes installed at each elevation interval. Field surveys were conducted twice annually, once in May and once in September respectively. The area-averaging method was adopted to calculate the mass balance of the entire glacier.
