Digital Archive from a Magnetometer Survey at Fosbury Farm, Tidcombe and Fosbury, Wiltshire, September 2024

This collection comprises raw and minimally processed magnetometry data, a greyscale image of processed magnetometry data and a CAD drawing from a geophysical survey at Fosbury Farm, Tidcombe and Fosbury, Wiltshire. Work was carried out by Archaeological Surveys Ltd in September 2024. The results indicate the presence of a former flint or chalk extraction pit, partially infilled with soil and relatively modern magnetic debris. A number of weakly positive linear anomalies have also been located but are of uncertain origin. A large number of discrete pit-like anomalies relate to former tree throw pits with more amorphous anomalies also associated with naturally formed magnetic contrast.
