Number of Taiwanese students studying overseas 2022/23, by destination country

In academic year 2022/23, approximately 56,798 students from Taiwan studied in different countries all over the world, still less than before the pandemic with 71,488 in 2019/20. Most of the students chose English speaking countries for their study abroad. In academic year 2022/23, a total of 21,834 students from Taiwan were studying in the United States and 10,673 in Australia. Students from Taiwan studying in Hong Kong or mainland China were not included in the statistic.

在2022/23学年度，约56,798名来自台湾的学生在世界各国进行留学，这一数字仍低于疫情前的2019/20学年度的71,488人。绝大多数学生选择前往英语国家深造。在2022/23学年度，共有21,834名台湾学生在美国留学，10,673名在澳大利亚。而就读于香港或中国大陆的台湾学生并未计入该统计数据之中。
