Whole-slide morphometry of the adult human pancreas: stromal and fat fractions and their bulk transcriptomic correlates in 353 post-mortem donors - code and derived data

Code and derived data for a study of 353 post-mortem pancreata from the Genotype-Tissue Expression (GTEx) project. The haematoxylin and eosin whole-slide image of each donor (NCI Imaging Data Commons, GTEx collection, CC BY 4.0) was segmented into nucleus-dense parenchyma, nucleus-poor eosinophilic stroma and fat; the stroma fraction of non-fat tissue and the fat fraction of the section were related to bulk RNA sequencing of an adjacent aliquot, to the GTEx pathology notes and to a blinded reading of 112 slides. The record contains the analysis code, the pre-specified plans with their SHA-256 checksums, donor-level image fractions, the coded slide readings, model results, gene-level results and colour overlays of the measured classes for all 353 slides. Source data (GTEx v11 open-access files, IDC images, GEO series GSE143754) are not redistributed. The record accompanies a manuscript under consideration; files are restricted and a private link is provided to editors and reviewers.
