Lab 2

For this lab, I went out to the Danby Woodlot at York University to collect data. I started by randomly picking a pair of trees at the edge of the woodlot and recorded all the measurements as mentioned in the meta-data. Then, I proceeded to walk in a strait line from tree # 1 and recorded data for all the pairs of trees on that transect (25 - 30 meters). The population size was 20 trees.

本实验中，笔者前往约克大学（York University）的丹比林地（Danby Woodlot）开展数据采集工作。首先随机选取林地边缘的一对树木，按照元数据（meta-data）中载明的所有测量条目进行记录；随后从第1号树木出发沿直线行进，对该样带（25-30米）范围内的所有树木对完成数据采集。本次采样的种群规模为20株树木。
