Regulation of host RNA splicing in Mycobacterium tuberculosis infected macrophages

Here using a high-throughput yeast two-hybrid and mass spectrometry approach we show that mycobacterial proteins can access the RNA splicing machinery of the host, thereby playing a critical role in infection-induced perturbation of alternative splicing. We then performed gene expression profiling analysis using data obtained from RNA-seq of THP-1 macrophages infected with H37Rv and H37Rv::Rv1435KO at 48hr post infection.
