Sinister places in Venezuelan rock art, or the logical contradictions of peasant logic/cultural heritage

Abstract From data collected through documentary and field research techniques, and using conceptual units of analysis supposedly framed within animistic theories, here we present some premises that attempt to explain intrigues significant to the community on rock art in Venezuelan historical regions, as well as their relationship with the notion of cultural heritage. The possibility that certain local representations contradict the concept of heritage is also suggested. Nevertheless, these referents provide meaning for rock art within the conceptualized landscape in which it is inserted and are consequently an element to consider in the process of patrimonialization by, for, with, and within the communities.

摘要：本研究通过文献研究与实地调研方法收集数据，采用以泛灵论（animistic theories）为理论框架的分析概念单元，提出若干前提假设，旨在阐释委内瑞拉历史区域内岩画相关的社区重要议题，以及岩画与文化遗产概念之间的关联。本研究同时指出，部分本土具象表现或与遗产概念存在冲突。尽管如此，这些指涉对象为其所嵌入的概念化景观中的岩画赋予了意义，因此在由社区主导、服务社区、与社区协作且植根于社区的遗产化（patrimonialization）进程中，均为需考量的关键要素。
