The database contains currently operated levels. Location coordinates and other subject-specific information, divided into federal waterway level, base level network as well as control and control level network, are included. For the determination of quantitative hydrological data on above-ground flowing waters, a level network divided into subnets is operated in the Free State of Saxony. The levels in the base level network are used for the continuous measurement of the flow at water-economically important flow waters. In order to condense these statements, observations from the control and control level network are included. This is used for the monitoring of dams, water reservoirs and retention basins and for flood protection.
