This dataset is a 1:700,000-scale land cover dataset of Gansu Province, Northwest China, for the year 2000. It employs a hierarchical land cover classification system, where the first-level categories, consistent with the IPCC system, include 6 types in total: forest land, grassland, wetland, cropland, artificial surfaces, and others. The second-level categories contain 38 globally standardized coded types generated from FAO's LCCS. The main data sources are as follows: 1. Land use data from the 2000s; 2.
