Why does the Agile leader mindset matter the most? QUANTITATIVE DATASET

The literature widely states that agility is not as much an issue of the technological-methodological management approach as it is an issue of an employee’s mindset. Given that leaders play a pivotal role in any organization, this study highlights the crucial role of leaders characterized by an agile mindset. It aims to uncover how agile mindset leaders influence the agility of their organizations, as well as the interrelations between their agile and non-agile mindset followers. This study employs a mixed-methods approach to explore these complex relationships. The quantitative stage employed structural equation modeling to analyze data from 400 cases (questionnaires) collected among Polish (200) and Finnish (200) knowledge workers. The quantitative data sample was retrieved from May 2024 to June 2024 in organizations where our qualitative study interlocutors were employed. Thus, it is a purposive sample. We controlled the quota per country but not per company, sector, or gender. As a result, the sample primarily represents the IT industry (78% in Poland/42% in Finland); other than IT organizations, which are represented by 23% (Poland) and 58% (Finland).
