To study the rainfall partitioning of the dominant tree species of the southern subtropical, This study was based on the Tropical Forestry Experimental Center of the Chinese Academy of Forestry in Guangxi Youyiguan Forest Ecosystem Research Station, continuous dynamic monitoring and research were conducted on atmospheric precipitationrainfall, throughfall, and tree stem flow of Pinus massoniana and Castanopsis hystrix plantation in the forest area of the Tropical Forestry Experimental Center of the Chinese Academy of Forestry from January 2018 to December 2021.The sample plots were set up and monitored according to the specifications, effectively ensuring the quality and integrity of data.. This dataset was analyzed and processed to calculate the 24-hour measured data of atmospheric precipitationrainfall, throughfall, and tree stem flow of Pinus massoniana and Castanopsis hystrix plantation, and the construction of the dataset was explained. Establishing and sharing this dataset can provide basic data for in-depth research on forest water use patterns and their response to global climate change, as well as scientific reference for sustainable management and management of tropical forest ecosystems in the southern subtropical.
