This invention falls within the field of heat treatment for iron and steel materials, and specifically relates to a heat treatment method for improving the strength-toughness matching of high-carbon chromium bearing steel. This method is designed to address the problem of poor microstructure and strength-toughness matching in conventional high-carbon chromium bearing steels, thereby enabling such steels to maintain a high level of strength and toughness. The specific steps of the method are as follows: two stepped quenching procedures are added to the traditional single-stage quenching heat treatment process, with their temperatures and holding times strictly controlled. This allows for the adjustment of the phase proportion and phase transformation sequence in the quenched microstructure of high-carbon chromium bearing steel. By optimizing the composite phase composition, the strength-toughness matching of the high-carbon chromium bearing steel is improved, ultimately achieving the goal of combining high hardness, high strength and high toughness.
