The ELOEV data suite packages a decade of global, multi-scale oceanographic context for ecology and movement studies, pairing Eulerian fields with Lagrangian metrics that describe transport and mixing. Typical use cases include marine predator habitat modeling, environmental selection studies, and process-to-pattern linkages in physical-biological oceanography. Geophysical variables in this suite include: vars_aqua: - Zeu_lee – Euphotic depth, Lee algorithm (m) - chl_ocx – Chlorophyll concentration, OC3 algorithm (mg m⁻³) - kd_490 – Diffuse attenuation coefficient at 490 nm, KD2 algorithm (m⁻¹) - par – Photosynthetically Available Radiation (Einstein m⁻² day⁻¹) - poc – Particulate Organic Carbon (mg m⁻³) - sst – Sea Surface Temperature (°C) vars_orbview-2: - Zeu_lee – Euphotic depth, Lee algorithm (m) - chl_ocx – Chlorophyll concentration, OC3 algorithm (mg m⁻³) - kd_490 – Diffuse attenuation coefficient at 490 nm, KD2 algorithm (m⁻¹) - par – Photosynthetically Available Radiation (Einstein m⁻² day⁻¹) - poc – Particulate Organic Carbon (mg m⁻³) vars_noaa poes: - sst – Sea Surface Temperature (°C) vars_models: - Delta – 3-Day Backward Dilation Rate for absolute time span (day⁻¹) - ftle – 3-Day Backward Finite Time Lyapunov Exponent for absolute time span (day⁻¹)
