COVID-19 emergency – Volunteers and associations

The dataset reports the activities and the numerical presence of volunteers in the associations in the initial phase of the emergency. The civil protection volunteering in Umbria has mobilised to address the extraordinary and urgent needs arising from the spread of COVID-19. Since the first days the [volunteer associations] (http://dati.umbria.it/dataset/organizzazioni-volontariato-pc) have worked in ensuring the assistance to the population, giving support to Mayors of Municipalities and health personnel, with the first assistance activities at the San Francesco airport of Assisi in Perugia. Subsequently, they became available for pre-triage activities at the emergency rooms of 11 regional hospitals and for the restoration of containers set up to support hospital wards. Together with doctors, nurses and healthcare staff there are increasing numbers of civil protection volunteers on the front line who every day support the municipal administrations for tents, assistance to “fragile” people known to social and municipal services, to quarantine subjects but not positive by Covid-19 and support for cases confirmed by CoVID-19 in house isolation.本数据集记录了应急事件初期阶段，各志愿协会的活动开展情况及志愿者的在岗规模。 意大利翁布里亚（Umbria）大区的民防志愿者已动员起来，应对新冠疫情（COVID-19）传播所引发的非常规紧急需求。自疫情暴发初期，[志愿协会]（链接：http://dati.umbria.it/dataset/organizzazioni-volontariato-pc）便全力为民众提供援助，协助各市政市长与医护人员，并在佩鲁贾省阿西西市的圣弗朗西斯科机场开展首批援助工作。 随后，志愿者团队还参与了区域内11家医院急诊室的预检分诊工作，并为支援临床病房搭建集装箱式临时设施，同时负责相关运维工作。 除医生、护士与医疗人员外，奋战在抗疫一线的民防志愿者人数与日俱增。他们每日协助市政管理部门搭建临时帐篷，为社会与市政服务中登记在册的‘脆弱群体’提供援助，为新冠检测阴性但需隔离的人员提供支持，并协助新冠确诊病例开展居家隔离管理。
