Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme

This layer presents wastewater discharge points and the type of water body in which used water is discharged. Those data were collected from the reporting of European Union Member States, as part of the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (UWWTD) implementation. The Directive concerns the collection, treatment and discharge of urban waste water and the treatment and discharge of waste water from certain industrial sectors.
