Appraisal of the Archeological and Paleontological Resources of the Red Gulch Reservoir Site, Big Horn County, Wyoming

This resource is an archeological reconnaissance of the Red Gulch Reservoir area completed by the Missouri Basin Project, Smithsonian Institution, in June 1951. The field party consisted of Franklin Fenenga, archeologist, and Frederick H. West, assistant. A paleontological reconnaissance of the same region was undertaken by Dr. Theodore E. White of the Missouri Valley Project in the summer of 1947, and the results have been printed.
Investigations consisted of field exploration and local inquiry. Areas of scientific interest were photographed, identified on maps, and site data were recorded on standard forms.
