Reproductive ecology of Jacobaea paludosa in its peripheral Southern distribution range: a self-sustainability assessment
收藏资源简介:
The agricultural and industrial development of plain zones has pushed many hydro-hygrophilous species towards the verge of extinction, due to habitat destruction and confinement into small and isolated nuclei. This is especially evident in densely populated areas such as the Po Valley, where the disappearance of large areas of marshes and forests has led to a few surviving strips of naturalness in a highly anthropized matrix. In this context, the populations of Jacobaea paludosa are believed to worryingly be decreasing due to progressive habitat destruction and increase in water pollution and eutrophication. This dataset contains data on the reproductive ecology of a wide, apparently well-established population (PIU) in comparison with a second population which underwent reinforcement in 2006 (NOV).
