In this study, Red drum larvae (Sciaenops ocellatus) 24 hours post-fertilization were exposed for 48 hours to water accommodated fractions (WAFs) made with artificial seawater only or artificial seawater mixed natural dissolved organic matter. During the UV test, 8 consecutive hours of artificial UV-A radiation was delivered to test chambers during each day (16 h total), and integrated UV dose and UV intensity were measured during the exposure time. This dataset includes measurements of potential mitigating or enhancing effects of natural organic matter (NOM)/dissolved organic carbon (DOC) on crude oil and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH) toxicity and bioavailability.

本研究中,将受精后24小时的眼斑拟石首鱼(Sciaenops ocellatus,俗称红鼓鱼苗)暴露于仅以人工海水制备,或人工海水与天然溶解有机物混合制备的水可萃取组分(water accommodated fractions, WAFs)中,暴露时长为48小时。紫外试验期间,每日向试验舱连续施加8小时人工紫外-A(UV-A)辐射,单日总时长合计16小时,并在整个暴露周期内测定累计紫外辐照剂量与紫外辐照强度。本数据集收录了天然有机物(natural organic matter, NOM)/溶解有机碳(dissolved organic carbon, DOC)对原油与多环芳烃(polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, PAH)的毒性及生物有效性的潜在缓解或增强效应相关测定数据。
