This BioProject contains transcriptomic data from Hanwoo cattle subjected to a 7-month feeding trial evaluating the effects of antioxidant supplementation. Twelve castrated Hanwoo steers were divided into a control group and a treatment group supplemented with vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium. Liver tissues were collected and analyzed using RNA sequencing to assess gene expression changes. Despite no significant differences in phenotypic traits such as weight gain, transcriptomic analysis revealed 641 differentially expressed genes. Enrichment analysis indicated that these genes were mainly involved in transcriptional regulation, pseudouridine synthesis, and mitochondrial function. This study provides insights into the molecular effects of dietary antioxidants in cattle, emphasizing their potential to influence liver gene expression even in the absence of observable phenotypic changes.
