资源简介:
The most common event in the Arctic that relates to halides is bromine explosion events (BEEs). The atomic bromine that is produced in the 'explosion' is considered to be the key halogen species for ozone depletion events (ODEs) in the polar boundary layer. Bromide atoms/oxides are also suspected to be critical oxidants in atmospheric mercury depletion events (AMDEs). Moreover, recent studies suggest that not only bromide, but chloride and inorganic iodine are also involved in BEEs. Hence, the analysis of halides concentrations, bromide to chloride ratios, iodide to iodate ratios and atmospheric BrO concentrations would provide useful information for studying the role of halides in BEEs and the effect that BEEs have on the halides concentration in the condensed phase.
