Knowledge and skills used by social workers working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people

The data was collected to understand the skills and knowledge needed by Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal social workers who are experienced and well-regarded by Aboriginal communities and their experience in social work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. The research questions that this data aimed to answer were: - how do Aboriginal social workers work with Aboriginal people and communities? - how do non Aboriginal social workers work with Aboriginal people and communities? - what do both groups of workers recognise as being culturally sensitive and appropriate social work practice? A qualitative methodology was adopted, which resulted in data being gathered by means of an open ended questionnaire, individual face to face and telephone interviews, and one group interview. Data collected: digital recording and MSWord documents and transcripts for 19 interviews. 本研究采用质性研究方法，通过开放式问卷、一对一面对面访谈、电话访谈以及1次小组访谈的方式采集数据。本次共完成19次访谈，采集的数据包括数字化录音文件、MSWord文档及访谈转录文本。本次数据采集由乔安娜·祖布日茨基（Dr Joanna Zubrzycki）博士、时任西澳大学学术职员的维奥莱特·培根（Violet Bacon），以及时任新南威尔士州社会工作从业者的宾迪·贝内特（Bindi Bennett）完成。
