Genome-wide expression profiling of three grape genotypes resistant to Pierce s disease

Plants from three Pierce s disease-resistant genotypes of the 07744 population ([Vitis rupestris Wichita refuge x V. arizonica b40-14] x V. vinifera Airen): 07744-094, 07744-102, 07744-114, were propagated in a controlled environment and inoculated with either Xylella fastidiosa or water (mock). Pieces of green stem at 10, 20, 30 and 40 cm above the point of inoculation with Xylella fastidiosa were collected from each plant at 1, 2, 3, and 4 weeks post inoculation. Pieces of green stem at 10, 20, 30 and 40 cm above the point of inoculation with water were collected from each plant at 4 weeks post inoculation. For each condition, pieces of green stem from each genotype were pooled together.
