Queensland Museum Birds

Our bird collection focuses on Queensland and Papua New Guinea regions, documenting an historical record of species distributions, past and present.
Skin, skeleton and spirit collections dating back to the 1870s, including extinct species, provide a valuable reference resource for biological and ecological studies. These holdings are supplemented with more than 5,000 egg clutches and 300 nests.

本鸟类馆藏聚焦昆士兰州与巴布亚新几内亚地区，系统记录了该区域古今物种的分布情况。馆藏包含可追溯至19世纪70年代的剥制标本、骨骼标本与浸制标本，其中涵盖已灭绝物种，为生物学与生态学研究提供了极具价值的参考资源。该馆藏还补充收录了逾5000窝卵与300个鸟巢标本。
