This dataset includes the figure data for the journal paper titled "The disrupted chemical enrichment history of the Milky Way driven by gas accretion". The structure of these files are as following: data_figure2.txt: Figure data for Figure 2 and 3 in the paper. data_figure4_azr.txt: Average age-metallicity and age-sigma_z relation of the TNG galaxy presented in Figure 4 in the paper. data_figure4_profiles.fits: Age-dependent radial profiles of stellar metallicity and surface stellar mass density. Data file in three dimensions (26, 33, 4): first dimension in age, from 0 to 14 Gyr with step of 0.5 Gyr; second dimension in radius with two segments, one from 0 to 10 kpc with step of 0.5 kpc and another from 10 to 23 kpc with step of 1 kpc; last dimension includes radius, average stellar magnesium abundance [Mg/H] and standard deviation, and surface mass density. data_figure4_profiles_gas.fits: Radial profiles of gas metallicity in five snapshots around 7 Gyr ago when the age-metallicity relation exhibits a major break. Data file in three dimensions (5, 119, 3): first dimension in age, with average value of 6.3, 6.8, 7.2, 7.4, 7.8, respectively; second dimension in radius; last dimension includes radius, average gas meganesium metallicity [Mg/H] and standard deviation. R_X.txt: GCE model files containing the age (in Gry), mass (in solar mass), and chemical abundance of mock catalogs generated to match the observations at a series of radius from 2 to 14 kpc. X stands for the corresponding radius of each model. Observational uncertainties of age and chemical abundances and mixing due to radial migration have been applied. mock_L.txt: the merged mock catalog of stars based on GCE models for different radii sampled with Kroupa IMF and normalized to the surface density profile proposed by Lian et al. 2024. A simplified description of radial migration is adopted to mix stars born at different radii. mock_L_noM.txt: the same as mock_L.txt except that radial mixing via migration is not applied.
