This report conducts a failure analysis on an SKF bearing with the model number 7014 CDGAT/P4 manufactured in China. It is noted that this bearing was applied to machine tool spindles and was replaced after normal service. Based on its model number, this bearing is an angular contact ball bearing. According to the national standard GB/T 292-2007, this bearing falls into the category of angular contact ball bearings with a locating snap ring groove on the outer ring, which features equal thickness on both sides of the inner ring and unequal thickness on both sides of the outer ring. The bearing has an outer diameter D of 110 mm, an inner diameter d of 70 mm, and a thickness B of 20 mm.
