Replication Data for: Mutual Optimism and Costly Conflict: The Case of Naval Battles in the Age of Sail

Replication data for \"Mutual Optimism and Costly Conflict: The Case of the Naval Battles in the Age of Sail\". Consists of: 1) R-Script to reproduce analyses (\"replicationscript.r\") 2) CSV Spreadsheet containing basic data (\"rawdata.csv\") 3) R-Data files that contain results of bootstrapping 4) RTF files containing narrative descriptions of each battle to support the codings in the spreadsheet. These are numbered according to their battle IDs given in the sheet. These RTF files are not used in producing the analyses and are not referenced in the script. They are provided solely to illuminate the various coding choices involved.
