Areas of use for hydrothermal heat generation

The topic provides an overview of the suitability of areas for heat generation by hydrothermal geothermal energy. Areas with favourable and possibly less favourable geological conditions (mostly required additional heat pump use) are distinguished. According to today’s knowledge, the greatest potential for hydrothermal heat generation lies in the malm of the southern German Molasse basin.
