In this experiment, an engineered Saccharomyces cerevisiae (YCM3) strain was used to detect ligand induced AhR signaling in order to compare the potencies of six mono-methylchrysenes to chrysene. Data are summarized (N = 3 experiments) and expressed as effective concentrations giving 50% response (EC50). Benzo[a]pyrene was added as a second reference PAH compound for purposes of comparison. Later, the AhR signaling response of chrysene was set to a Relative Potency Factor (RPF) of 1. Compounds with a potency greater than 1 were more effective as AhR ligands, and those <1 were weaker. The statistical significance of mean differences between chrysene and other compounds were determined by ANOVA test. These data were collected by December 2017 at Dr. Miller's Laboratory located at 1440 Canal Street, Suite 2110, New Orleans, LA 70112. This dataset supports the publication: Alqassim, A. 本实验采用工程化酿酒酵母(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)YCM3菌株,检测配体诱导的芳香烃受体(Aryl hydrocarbon receptor, AhR)信号通路,以比较6种单甲基稠屈与稠屈(chrysene)的活性效价。实验数据汇总自3次独立重复实验(N=3),以半数效应浓度(effective concentrations giving 50% response, EC50)进行表征。本实验同时加入苯并[a]芘(Benzo[a]pyrene)作为第二种参考多环芳烃(PAH)化合物以作对照。后续将稠屈的AhR信号通路响应值设为相对效价因子(Relative Potency Factor, RPF)=1。效价大于1的化合物作为AhR配体活性更强,效价小于1的化合物活性则相对较弱。采用方差分析(Analysis of Variance, ANOVA)检验稠屈与其余化合物间均值差异的统计学显著性。本数据集于2017年12月在位于美国路易斯安那州新奥尔良市运河街1440号2110室的Miller博士实验室完成采集。本数据集支持下述已发表文献:Alqassim A Y、Wilson M J、Wickliffe J K、Pangeni D、Overton E B及Miller C A于2019年发表于《Environmental Toxicology》第34卷第9期,页码992–1000的研究《芳香烃受体信号通路、毒性及基因表达对单甲基稠屈的响应》,DOI:10.1002/tox.22770
