Leaf chlorophyll content (LCC) indicates the photosynthetic capacity of green vegetation, which is one of the most important biochemical parameters for ecosystem monitoring. Remote sensing is the only tool for obtaining global-scale LCC information. Over the past five years, researchers have produced several global LCC products. However, the spatial resolutions of existing products range from 300m to 500m, which is insufficient for detailed monitoring needs. This dataset utilizes the Chlorophyll Sensitive Index (CSI) to produce a global LCC product with a 100m/10 days resolution in 2019, based on vegetation type-specific empirical relationships using Sentinel-2 data. Existing research results show that this algorithm demonstrates high accuracy, efficiency, and stability in estimating LCC, making it suitable for the production of global LCC products, and it has the potential to generate higher-resolution global LCC products.

叶片叶绿素含量(Leaf Chlorophyll Content,LCC)表征了绿色植被的光合能力,是生态系统监测中最为重要的生物化学参数之一。遥感是获取全球尺度LCC信息的唯一工具。近五年来,科研人员已生成多款全球LCC产品,但现有产品的空间分辨率介于300米至500米之间,无法满足精细化监测的需求。本数据集基于Sentinel-2影像数据,借助植被类型特异性经验关系,利用叶绿素敏感指数(Chlorophyll Sensitive Index,CSI)生成了2019年全球LCC产品,其空间分辨率为100米、时间分辨率为10天。现有研究结果表明,该算法在LCC估算方面展现出高精度、高效率与高稳定性的特性,适用于全球LCC产品的生产,且具备生成更高空间分辨率全球LCC产品的潜力。
