This is a secondary analysis of a randomized trial evaluating overweight and obese women with PCOS as defined according to the Rotterdam criteria. All subjects underwent intensive lifestyle modifications including diet and exercise. Furthermore, all subjects were randomized to placebo or synbiotic supplementation (double-blind design). Data from 25 subjects who underwent baseline and six-months evaluations of gut microbiome. Fecal samples were analyzed using 16S ribosomal RNA sequencing
