Coastal Physiographic Features - Ria

This is a shapefile of the coastal physiographic feature 'Ria'. The polygons represent drowned river valleys of south-west Britain. Often with a greater presence of rock and more marine in character than estuaries. This is the definition taken from Annex I habitat 1160 - Large shallow inlets and bays.

本数据集为海岸地貌特征‘溺湾（Ria）’的形状文件（shapefile）。其中的多边形要素代表英国西南部的淹没河谷。相较于河口，溺湾通常富含岩石组分，且更具海洋性特征。本定义取自《生境指令》附件I的1160号生境类型——大型浅入海口与海湾（Large shallow inlets and bays）。
