METHODOLOGY FOR ENHANCING STUDENTS' SOCIOLINGUISTIC COMPETENCE IN TEACHING WRITTEN INTERCULTURAL COMMUNICATION

This article explores the methodology of enhancing students’ sociolinguistic competence in the process of teaching written intercultural communication. The study analyzes how national and cultural values are expressed in written discourse and examines the sociolinguistic features that shape communication across cultures. Special attention is given to the role of cultural context, speech etiquette, and pragmatic awareness in developing effective written communication skills. The research identifies key pedagogical strategies such as contextual learning, authentic materials, intercultural tasks, and digital communication practices. The findings demonstrate that integrating sociolinguistic and cultural components into writing instruction significantly improves students’ communicative competence and prepares them for real-world intercultural interaction.
