Tasmanian seamount Hill U: benthic imagery and annotations

Collection of images from Tasmanian seamount Hill U annotated for percent cover of benthic substrates and density of VME taxa with octocorals at phototaxon level.. \nLineage: Benthic Stereo still imagery was collected during the MNF Investigator voyage IN2018_V06, sampling seamounts off Tasmania. Within measured quadrats random points (5per m2) were annotated for substrate classes including matrix-forming stony coral, and counts of VME indicator taxa were performed to result in density measures. Here the data for one seamount, Hill U, are presented. This subset was used in a data exchange project under a collaboration of science providers in France and Australia with extensive experience in the Acquisition, Annotation, Administration and Application of underwater photographic imagery (the “QuatreA” group), to assess its potential in reuseability.

数据集溯源：立体静态底栖摄影图像（Benthic Stereo still imagery）采集于"MNF Investigator"号科考航次IN2018_V06，采样覆盖塔斯曼外海的海山区域。在实测样方（quadrats）内，以每平方米5个随机点位对底质类别进行标注，类别包括造基质石珊瑚；同时对VME指示类群开展计数以获取密度测量值。本数据集仅呈现海山希尔U号的相关数据。该子集被用于一项由法国与澳大利亚水下摄影图像采集、标注、管理及应用领域经验丰富的科研机构合作开展的数据交换项目（即"QuatreA"工作组），旨在评估该数据集的可复用潜力。
