Awareness and Attitude towards Posthumous Organ Donation in Al Riyadh, Khartoum, 2020

This study explores the awareness and attitudes towards posthumous organ donation among citizens in Al Riyadh, Khartoum, Sudan. A total of 200 participants were surveyed through structured interviews and self-administered questionnaires. The results indicate that 84% of respondents were willing to donate their organs after death, with the main reasons for acceptance being beneficence and charity. Religious beliefs and concerns about the body's integrity were the primary reasons for refusal. The study concludes that gender, higher educational levels, and increased knowledge are crucial factors influencing the decision to donate. The findings suggest the need for public campaigns, further research, and the establishment of organ donation registration centers in Sudan.

本研究旨在探讨苏丹喀土穆阿尔里亚德（Al Riyadh）地区民众对死后器官捐献的认知与态度。研究采用结构化访谈与自填式问卷的方式，共纳入200名参与者开展调查。结果显示，84%的受访者愿意在身故后捐献器官，其中接受捐献的主要动因是利他行善与公益慈善；宗教信仰以及对遗体完整性的顾虑，则是拒绝捐献的首要原因。研究表明，性别、较高的受教育水平与更充足的相关知识储备，是影响器官捐献决策的关键因素。本研究结果提示，苏丹亟需开展公众科普宣传活动、推进相关领域研究，并建立器官捐献登记服务中心。
