Oenanthe javanica cultivar:Fuqin No.1 Genome sequencing

Oenanthe javanica (Blume) DC. is a perennial herb of the Oenanthe genus in Apiaceae family. Here, the first T2T genome of O. javanica was constructed by combined using ultra-long Oxford Nanopore Technology (ONT) and PacBio high-fidelity (Pacbio HiFi) . Meanwhile, the karyotype analysis of O. javanica was conducted and the current gap-free genome assembly was anchored to 21 pseudochromosomes by Hi-C technology. The O. javanica genome has identified the centromeres and telomeres on chromosomes, resulting in a genome with high continuity, accuracy and integrity. This study shed light on the huge accumulation of diverse volatile terpenoids in O. javanica and offered a complete genome and genetic information for the evolution of Apiaceae.
