The Coconut Grove Village Council (тАЬCouncilтАЭ) shall seek to promote and advance the interest of, and represent the people of Coconut Grove, Florida, before governmental and other entities having any impact on the people who live in the area defined herein as Coconut Grove. The Council will seek to promote, protect and preserve, the social economic, physical environment, and historic character of Coconut Grove and the interests of its citizens and, in doing so, follow Coconut GroveтАЩs tradition of cultural tolerance, respect for the natural environment, promotion of the arts and its commitment to social responsibility. Coconut Grove is defined as that geographic area bounded by US-1 and Rickenbacker Causeway to the North, LeJeune Road to the West, the city limits of the City of Miami to the South and Biscayne Bay to East.
