Colección de moldes endocraneanos del CENPAT

This collection includes fossil brain endocasts of Cenozoic mammals of Argentina (marsupials, edentates, litopterns, notoungulates, rodents and carnivores) principally from Patagonia. This material, the subject of paleoneurological studies, is directly related to the project: “Paleoneurolgy of South American Cenozoic Mammals”. Also it includes recent brain endocasts of Neotropical mammals and other vertebrates and the Collection of Juan Carlos Quiroga, who was the pioneer of the Paleoneurology in Argentina. His collection includes the most important collection of fossil brain endocasts of Mesozoic mammal-like reptiles of South America.本馆藏包含阿根廷新生代哺乳动物的化石颅内模（fossil brain endocasts），类群涵盖有袋类、贫齿类、滑距骨兽类、南方有蹄类、啮齿类及食肉目类群，标本主要采自巴塔哥尼亚地区。该批标本作为古神经解剖学（Paleoneurology）研究的核心对象，与"南美新生代哺乳动物古神经解剖学"研究项目直接相关。本馆藏同时收录新热带区哺乳动物及其他脊椎动物的现生颅内模，以及阿根廷古神经解剖学先驱胡安·卡洛斯·基罗加的馆藏。其馆藏囊括了南美地区最为重要的中生代似哺乳爬行动物化石颅内模藏品。
