Modeling and Validation of optical transition and absorption spectra of realistic self-assembled InAs/GaAs quantum dot systems

This dataset supports the research article titled "On the Optical Transition and Absorption Spectra of Realistic Self-Assembled InAs/GaAs Quantum Dot Systems." It contains numerical simulation results of absorption spectra, calculated peak photon energy, peak photon energy difference and its ratio as a function of aspect ratio, used in the quantum dot calculations, and validation data extracted from literature. The data were generated using a MATLAB-based computational model that incorporates strain effects, 3D geometry, aspect ratio variation, and intermixing. This dataset enables reproducibility of the results and may benefit researchers working on optoelectronic device modeling, quantum dot characterization, and nanostructure design.
