Solar Resource & Meteorological Assessment Project (SOLRMAP): Sun Spot Two; Swink, Colorado (Data)

The U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory collaborates with the solar industry to establish high quality solar and meteorological measurements. This Solar Resource and Meteorological Assessment Project (SOLRMAP) provides high quality measurements to support deployment of power projects in the United States. The no-funds-exchanged collaboration brings NREL solar resource assessment expertise together with industry needs for measurements. The end result is high quality data sets to support the financing, design, and monitoring of large scale solar power projects for industry in addition to research-quality data for NREL model development. NREL provides consultation for instrumentation and station deployment, along with instrument calibrations, data acquisition, quality assessment, data distribution, and summary reports. Industry participants provide equipment, infrastructure, and station maintenance.

美国能源部下属国家可再生能源实验室（National Renewable Energy Laboratory，简称NREL）与太阳能行业携手开展合作，共建高质量太阳能与气象实测数据集。本太阳能资源与气象评估项目（Solar Resource and Meteorological Assessment Project，SOLRMAP）可提供高质量实测数据，用以支撑美国境内太阳能发电项目的部署落地。本次合作不涉及资金往来，将NREL在太阳能资源评估领域的专业技术优势与行业对实测数据的实际需求深度结合。最终产出的高质量数据集，既能为行业内大型太阳能发电项目的融资、设计与运行监测提供数据支撑，也可为NREL的模型研发提供科研级优质数据。NREL可为观测仪器与站点部署提供技术咨询，同时涵盖仪器校准、数据采集、质量评估、数据分发以及汇总报告等全流程服务。行业合作方则负责提供观测设备、基础设施及站点运维工作。
