NRS-17112 | Programme and Lesson Registers [Myall Upper Public School]

The series of Programme and Lesson Registers is currently represented by a single Lesson Register, which records details of the teaching in all classes of the school during the closing weeks of the year 1928 and the whole of 1929. This register is ready-printed for the purpose, and a notice which appears inside the front cover directs that “Lesson Registers should be posted up at the end of each week, and should show clearly and fully the subject and scope of the lessons actually given to each class in each correlated group of studies.”One page of the register is allocated per week. At the top of each weekly programme is some general information about the teacher and the class - including the class and school, week ending, name of teacher, the date the teacher assumed charge of the present class, the date of appointment to the school, average age of pupils, and the average number of days of attendance in the class. There is a summary of the matter taught in each of seven subjects - English, mathematics, nature study, civics and morals, music, art and manual training, and physical culture. Each subject is sub-divided into sections, e.g. nature study is divided into geography, chats and observation talks, nature study, gardening and science.At the bottom of each page is a section for Remarks. These could include the strengths and weaknesses in various subjects, notes regarding the achievement of individual students or special activities which had occurred during the week, including excursions.

登记簿每周占用一页。每份周教学计划的顶部会标注教师与班级的基础信息，涵盖班级与学校名称、当周截止日期、教师姓名、教师接管当前任教班级的日期、教师入职该校的日期、学生平均年龄以及班级平均出勤天数。

登记簿会对七个学科的授课内容分别进行总结，涵盖英语、数学、自然研究、公民与道德、音乐、美术与手工实训以及体育。每个学科还会进一步细分为多个子模块，例如自然研究被划分为地理、座谈与观察讲座、自然探究、园艺与科学板块。

每页底部设有「备注」栏，可填写的内容包括各学科的教学优劣情况、针对学生个人学习表现的记录，或是当周开展的各类特殊活动（例如校外远足）。
