Project Description In this project we intend to analyze the role that a variety of contributing factors play in crash risk across crash types to determine whether significant interactions exist. We will compare the interplay between factors (such as specific driver behaviors) and crash type (such as rear-end or backing crashes) using logistic regression, factor/component analysis, and/or nonparametric methods. Data Request Scope In order to effectively analyze the relative risk of a variety of contributing cash factors, we request previously-reduced and kinematic data for all crashes of level 1 - 3 in the SHRP2 dataset, along with baselines.
