The distance between a remotely operated vehicle (ROV) and the sea-ice underside was measured by a single-beam upward-looking acoustic sonar altimeter (Tritech PA500) attached to the ROV during the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition between November 2019 and September 2020. Sea-ice draft was derived by subtracting the distance to the sea-ice underside from the ROV depth, uncorrected for ROV attitude (pitch, roll). An offset between the depth reference (ROV bumper bars) and the altimeter of 0.105 m is accounted for in the presented data.

2019年11月至2020年9月的北极气候多学科漂流观测站(Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate, MOSAiC)科考任务中,安装于遥控无人潜水器(Remotely Operated Vehicle, ROV)的单波束向上声学声呐高度计(single-beam upward-looking acoustic sonar altimeter, Tritech PA500)完成了该设备与海冰下表面间距的测量。海冰吃水深度由遥控无人潜水器自身深度减去其与海冰下表面的距离推导得出,该计算未校正遥控无人潜水器的姿态(俯仰、横滚)。本次发布的数据集已计入深度参考基准(遥控无人潜水器防撞杆)与声呐高度计之间0.105米的偏移量。
