CNRM-CERFACS CNRM-ESM2-1 model output prepared for CMIP6 AerChemMIP histSST

Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6) datasets: These data include all datasets published for 'CMIP6.AerChemMIP.CNRM-CERFACS.CNRM-ESM2-1.histSST' with the full Data Reference Syntax following the template 'mip_era.activity_id.institution_id.source_id.experiment_id.member_id.table_id.variable_id.grid_label.version'.

The CNRM-ESM2-1 climate model, released in 2017, includes the following components:
aerosol: TACTIC_v2, atmos: Arpege 6.3 (T127; Gaussian Reduced with 24572 grid points in total distributed over 128 latitude circles (with 256 grid points per latitude circle between 30degN and 30degS reducing to 20 grid points per latitude circle at 88.9degN and 88.9degS); 91 levels; top level 78.4 km), atmosChem: REPROBUS-C_v2, land: Surfex 8.0c, ocean: Nemo 3.6 (eORCA1, tripolar primarily 1deg; 362 x 294 longitude/latitude; 75 levels; top grid cell 0-1 m), ocnBgchem: Pisces 2.s, seaIce: Gelato 6.1.
The model was run by the CNRM (Centre National de Recherches Meteorologiques, Toulouse 31057, France), CERFACS (Centre Europeen de Recherche et de Formation Avancee en Calcul Scientifique, Toulouse 31057, France) (CNRM-CERFACS) in native nominal resolutions: aerosol: 250 km, atmos: 250 km, atmosChem: 250 km, land: 250 km, ocean: 100 km, ocnBgchem: 100 km, seaIce: 100 km.

Project: These data have been generated as part of the internationally-coordinated Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 (CMIP6; see also GMD Special Issue: http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/special_issue590.html). The simulation data provides a basis for climate research designed to answer fundamental science questions and serves as resource for authors of the Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC-AR6).

CMIP6 is a project coordinated by the Working Group on Coupled Modelling (WGCM) as part of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). Phase 6 builds on previous phases executed under the leadership of the Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison (PCMDI) and relies on the Earth System Grid Federation (ESGF) and the Centre for Environmental Data Analysis (CEDA) along with numerous related activities for implementation. The original data is hosted and partially replicated on a federated collection of data nodes, and most of the data relied on by the IPCC is being archived for long-term preservation at the IPCC Data Distribution Centre (IPCC DDC) hosted by the German Climate Computing Center (DKRZ).

该模式由法国图卢兹（邮编31057）的法国国家气象研究中心（Centre National de Recherches Meteorologiques，CNRM）与欧洲科学计算研究与高级培训中心（Centre Europeen de Recherche et de Formation Avancee en Calcul Scientifique，CERFACS，合称CNRM-CERFACS）完成运行，其各模块原生标称分辨率如下：气溶胶模块250 km，大气模块250 km，大气化学模块250 km，陆面模块250 km，海洋模块100 km，海洋生物地球化学模块100 km，海冰模块100 km。

项目背景：本数据集作为国际协调开展的耦合模式比较计划第六阶段（CMIP6，详见《地球模式发展（Geoscientific Model Development）》特刊：http://www.geosci-model-dev.net/special_issue590.html）的产出成果之一，其模拟数据可为解答基础科学问题的气候研究提供支撑，同时作为政府间气候变化专门委员会第六次评估报告（Sixth Assessment Report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change，IPCC-AR6）作者群体的参考资源。

CMIP6由世界气候研究计划（World Climate Research Programme，WCRP）下属的耦合模式工作组（Working Group on Coupled Modelling，WGCM）协调推进。第六阶段继承了此前在气候模式诊断与比较计划（Program for Climate Model Diagnosis and Intercomparison，PCMDI）主导下完成的前几阶段工作成果，并依托地球系统网格联盟（Earth System Grid Federation，ESGF）与环境数据分析中心（Centre for Environmental Data Analysis，CEDA）及众多相关配套活动完成实施。原始数据托管于联邦式数据节点集群并实现部分镜像复制，IPCC所依赖的绝大多数数据目前正由德国气候计算中心（German Climate Computing Center，DKRZ）托管的IPCC数据分发中心（IPCC Data Distribution Centre，IPCC DDC）进行长期归档保存。
