DATA FOR SCA AND CONTROLS

The research focused on persistent proteinuria among a cohort of Nigerian children with sickle cell anaemia and apparently healthy age- and sex-matched haemoglobin AA controls. Persistent proteinuria was assessed quantitatively using the urine protein-to-creatinine ratio at first contact and again after at least 3 months for participants with proteinuria at first contact. In addition, for children with sickle cell anaemia, packed cell volume, total white blood cell count, eGFR, and fetal haemoglobin were assessed.
