In this file, wage data is related to personal characteristics and company characteristics. The purpose of this file is to understand the pay gaps that exist between persons with different background characteristics such as educational level, professional level and other person/company characteristics. this statistic is published once every four years. More information on how to access the data: > https://www.cbs.nl/nl-nl/onze-diensten/maatwerk-en-microdata/microdata-zelf-onderzoek-doen ### Methodology The file is based on administrative data, the so-called policy information from the Executive Institution Employee Insurance (UWV) and the Tax Administration, the Municipal Basic Administration of Personal Data (GBA) and two years Survey of Occupational Population (EBB) that preceded the described year. The basis of the methodology consists of, initially, the linking of administrative files, the policy and the DPA. The persons who have worked in paid employment during the entire month of reference (October JYY) are then selected.
